a blast from the past
[October 25nd, 2008]
I registered toadly.com back in the summer of 2000 as a home site for my imaginary web design firm, Toadly. With the help of my business partner Paul, the site was, in my humble opinion, a demonstration of clean and functional design. <old site>
Our first real design job was to create a website for a local medical malpractice attorney, Frank Morris. The site took a couple of months to complete and again, in the style of the old toadly.com, Mr. Morris' website turned out clean and functional. The vision for the site was to provide an information rich resource for victims of medical malpractice (and of course to direct them to immediately contact an attorney, preferably one who provided an information rich resource).
The job went well. Profit, just in time for Christmas. Unfortunately, despite our clients' absolute satisfaction with his new website (it's still online as of this writing), the job did not lead to future work. Paul and I were both working our "real" jobs, with no time to market our new business. My imaginary web design firm became just that, imaginary.
So toadly.com sat and sat, sad and static for many years...until now.
